My new old school Yamaha CR-450

I just scored a CR-450. I think it's a 30 wpc. It supposedly had a 'blown channel'. Someone gave it to me. We tried to listen to it through headphones. Nothing. Took it home and cleaned it up. The pots were a little resistant and gunked up. I Deoxit'd them and it really helped them. While I had the wood cabinet off, I noticed that a fuse was blown, so I replaced all four fuses.

Guess what? It works great! Everything works except for the pointer light. FM works great. AM works great. Meters work great. Hooked up my XM to the tape loop and aux inputs. It all works fine.

So, while I'm at it, I may as well replace the other lights. Does anyone know the type of bulb(s) it needs for replacement?

Does anyone have any other info on this receiver?

I have one as well, and the info I've found says they were made between 76 and 78. 32 watts RMS at 8 ohms. AK member Dgwojo is our authority on lamps and where I got my replacements for this model. Believe they are 12 volt, 60 ma. You won't find a better person to deal with than Dave.

Hey Beer...would love to see a pic of it when you have it set up. My wife and I are looking around for one for her "new" vintage set up built around The AR Turntable that we just purchased.

Mcubba - Here's a picture of mine. Like most of the Yamahas, it has a very clean sound. Above average tuner performance also.
