Pioneer SX-880 paired with ADS L570 - Opinions needed

Hey all, I just got a pair of ADS L570 loudspeakers, and wow do they sound fantastic. Does anyone have them paired with a Pioneer SX series receiver? Currently they're on a Yamaha R-300, but I feel that they need more than just 30 Watts to really sing. Specifically looking at a SX-880, so 60 Watts per channel. The old Pioneers certainly do look great.

Thanks for the advice.

So you started another thread on the exact same topic? Most likely these threads will be merged.

The ADS speakers aren't the most efficient speakers out there but they use what they are given quite well. Unless you're dead-set on a vintage SX receiver, you might look at some newer offerings from NAD, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc, in some sort of integrated amp or separates. Unless you want a tuner, of course (which I care nothing about personally).

Sorry, wasn't sure the best place to post this, as it kind of crosses a couple of different categories. Merging is fine.

Thanks for the advice. I do want to stick with something a bit more vintage, though, as I really like the look and feel of them. I already have a newer Yamaha receiver for my other setup.

Do you think I'll see much difference from 30 to 60 Watts?

That's a doubling of power which, in effect, should be a theoretical 3db gain in output that would be noticeable.
