A CD of PDQ Bach: The Short Tempered Clavier and Other Dysfunctional Works for Keyboard. It's on TELARC. Headphones are Audeze Maxwells which are closed back planars with Bluetooth, a bargain that i use for listening but do not do gaming at all. They go down flat to about 30Hz and only slightly remind you that they aren't open back.

Listened to a compilation CD last night that I made of some of my Dad's old vinyl. One track that always sticks out is "Serious" by Billy Griffin. Cans were vintage Sennheiser HD-410SL, a NAD 3140 was the amp (before I took it apart), and the source was a Sony Walkman CD-player with a 1-bit DAC.

Today, it's a "DOORS" day event for me.

Just finished off a great in depth book on this metaphysical band: "MOONLIGHT DRIVE" by Chuck Crisafulli ('1995). It's a large formatted book, full of photos and many 2nd hand interviews of people who knew and dealt with this epic group.

Later in the day, will take in the movie: Oliver Stone's "The DOORS" (1997). A movie that depicts the sensational side of Jim Morrison, and one that does not share the real singer, wherein there was a positive to him. But in order to increase sales, often it ends up with... half truths.

Then onto my favourite Album: "American Prayer" (1978).

To date, I've read three books on the "DOORS", studied Morrison's poetry, and viewed quite a few interviews of the this past artist, plus the band who backed him up, who composed some of their hits. Having never met this artist, I can only go on what others who were close to him said that,
"There was more to this person than what the media presented".

The band itself was a complex group, upon which in turn had a pronounced influence on heavier/darker groups that followed.

Casey Abrams “Jazz” on some new Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro X phones.

Reviews were not great for these, but I’m quite enjoying them. Very comfy and a bit of EQ makes them quite lovely. I’m no headphone guru, but for the money they make me happy.

The Yamaha has a very good headphone amp!
