input for Klipsch promedia 2.1 sub

I bought a powered promedia subwoofer hoping to use a couple of non-Klipsch satellites with it on my son's PC. The 'preamp in' connection looks like an s-video socket in size and pin configuration. I looked on-line at these promedia series and did not see how the signals come into the powered subwoofer. There are standard spring-loaded plugs for the satellites speakers connecting to the sub. Is it simply a matter of making/finding an adapter plug or is there some kind of a special preamp needed to make it work??? thanks.

My brother has a set of ProMedia 2.1's. The volume control is integrated into one of the satellites. That explains the odd connector. You would have to remove the controller, and figure out a way to use it with the new satellites. I say either use the Klipsch's as is (they don't sound bad IMO), or go with a regular receiver/amp setup.
