    Fun fact: My Sansui 7070's signal meter is inverted. That means that the closer that meter is to 0 the stronger the signal

    I consider it to be more of a tower proximity meter than strength meter

    As of March 15, 2025 I am no longer in possession of a Sylvania CR-2743, as it got sold. According to the new owner, it turns out the unit was fully functional after all- it just needed cleaning.

    Acquired Mirage OM-10 speakers today for pretty cheap. Fully working, just missing the top cover. Sounded pretty good during testing, and will take over the Technics SB-A30's as the main speakers

    After listening to them for a while I can say pretty confidently they are the best speakers I've ever heard. They even beat out a pair of Klipsch RF-3's my father recently got for upgrading his home theater setup

    Today I swapped out the JBL LX44's on my main setup for Technics SB-A30's. They came with blown tweeters which my father and I replaced with Pioneer equivalents. The result was surprising. Clear, balanced, and with a fairly punchy sound. Beats out the LX44's in the midrange area as well (yes the midrange woofers are working on the LX44's)

    Of course this doesn't mean the LX44's are worse speakers. They just aren't the best choice for the room my main setup is in.

    I have a tendency to make a lot of edits within the first half hour or so of posting. That is normally because of spell checking and also because I verify the things I post.
