Finished! Kegger-designed SE EL84 monoblocks

Redboy

a few good watts
These came together in an eleventh hour push. Yesterday Lance (westend) dropped off the bases, and last night I was up late huffing solder fumes, in a last desperate attempt to finish them before today's Cobblefest.

Plugged them in and...

Wow, Nate--for something that came together at the eleventh hour, those sure do look mighty fine.

How are you running the 6AU6? It's an interesting tube, with a lot of uses.

Is that a 6X4 for rectification?

Nice looking work!

Gorgeous looking, in fact, this project gave me the inspiration to build my amp I just finished, great work! :)

Gorgeous! I just love the consistent aluminum color, it plays well with the color of the plates in the tubes, and the light wood makes the whole thing pop. Beautiful.

Very so-fist-tee-ka-ted looking Nate. We'll need a full report on the sound. Put little blue domes on the caps and they would look like a farm in Iowa.

They do look lovely! Some nice stain and lacquer on the bases...if only I had electronics abilities...
