Inifinity QLS-1 Restore Help...

Ok so I am on the road to repairing my QLS's. I just dropped the woofers off to be refoamed. I decided to hook up the speakers for a moment with out woofers to see what tweeters worked and what is DOA. I noticed that 2 of the dome mid-rangers are DOA one with a broke tinsel and the other unknown. Does anyone know of a drop in replacement? Also I notice that none of the ribbon tweeters work. Is this do to the woofer being disconnect or is it a cap/pot issue?

IIRC, the tinsels on the dome mids can be repaired.

For the tweeters, check the rear-panel fuse. Should be a 3 amp ACG fast-blow. If that's good, I'd pull each EMIT and check resistance with a DMM. They should each be in the range of 3-3.5 ohms.

Post this thread to the Infinity forum. You will get answers much more quickly there. Also do a search. Several AKers have done QLS-1 restorations, and you should be able to find some good info.

I feel so stupid, I forgot there is a separate area for Infinitys. If the mods can move it, it would be great. Keep from cluttering up the forum.

I will check the fuse, I just got my woofers back so I will dig into the crossovers tonight.
