Yesterday I picked up a Pioneer turntable. It doesn't have any model number markings but it looks like a very faint 41 is etched in the wood where the sticker used to be. It looks like it matches the photos I found of PL-41's and I'm happy to see several threads about it. Here are some photos, please let me know if I have the ID wrong.

This table needs a few things and I'd love any recommendations for the following:
1. Cartridge. It doesn't currently have one. I saw the Denon DL-110 and DL-160 recommended. Any others I should look at in a similar (or cheaper!) price range?
2. Feet. The feet are pretty much completely gone. Any favorites?
3. Mat. The original mat is missing and I'm not sure what thickness to substitute. Anyone have input or recommendations?
4. Broken thingy. There's a broken plastic disc with a center indentation in a chamber at the bottom of the spindle. Pic of undercarriage with unscrewed bit to display broke part below. It has some oil residue on it. Anyone have a source for replacement of this disc?

I'll be replacing the disintegrated belt and cleaning things up. I'd appreciate any advice from people who have done the same. I can't wait to get it going and begin enjoying it.

Looks like a PL-41 although the platter doesn't look original. The PL-41 likes a cart that tracks between 2.0 and 2.5 VTF. I believe the broken up into pieces of washer at the spindle bottom is actually a fiber wick type washer designed to hold lubricant. A lot of people replace those with a piece of 7/8 delrin stock and having a machine shop cut it to .083 thickness. For feet, I used a
set of the transparent feet that stick on from the local Target. Works well.

Thats a PL-41, the thrust plate that is broken is common, do as Mark says and replace the broken disk with a delrin disk. I did the same.
That is the correct platter, your just missing the outer platter mat.
Since th PL-41 uses a 2 piece platter mat separated by a metal ridge, An option I have been thinking about is having the ridge machined off the platter, so I can use any platter mat I want.
Another thing I'd like to try is a Denon 103 moving coil on this table, I replaced my headshell with a Sumiko from Needle Dr.
the Denon tracks at 2.5 grams.
Do a search for pioneer pl41 there is a ton of good info on AK.
