PIONEER Secondary bedroom setup pics-Updated

Some updated streamlining to my previous setup array.

My SA-9500 went south on me but I managed to find a good CL deal on a SA-9500II so it's pulling duty right now and I'm liking it!:thmbsp:

So the full boat here is:
RT-707, PL-88F, DT-500 Timer, RG-2, P-D70, SA-9500II, TX-9800, CT-F1000 HPM-100's, HPM-200's, Realistic tape control,PDP-4270 HD Plasma, DV-410 Multi-Region DVD, 6-Disc CD plyr, VSX-5700S Surround Rec/Amp, CLD-3070 LaserDisc, EX-9000 Expander, PS2, Toshiba VCR, Yamaha Center spkr, generic black tower rear spkrs, TV Tuner (not being used).

I had them standing upright when I first go them, then turned them on their sides as you see here.
Not too drastic difference between the two placements.
They sound good either way, teamed with the 200's its an all out audio assault on your ears!

Needs to be heard in person to be fully appreciated.
 
Looks sweet, MP! Now all you need to enhance the whole ensemble is a back lit Pioneer sign like the one in my sig adorning your wall and to give the room some added ambiance. :D

That would be nice! I am actually looking :para:and contemplating:headscrat that very idea.
I have a huge subway wall size KISS poster I want to hang on the left side.
But nothing for above the monitor or for the right hand side of the wall?:dunno:
 
Remember the "Lite-Brite" kits where you could create your own lit signs using translucent plastic pegs? Well, this Pioneer showroom sign is exactly that, composed of hundreds of plastic pegs and back lit by 4 36" florescent tubes. I picked this up from a gal who had it listed on CL a couple years back and is hanging in my listening room. Retro Stereo, I believe, also has one.

I believe they are hard to come by as I had never seen one before until I got mine and then saw a pic of Retro's in one of his "wall of silver" photos.

If I am not mistaken I saw one on ebay a few years back. I was wondering how it was made. I was outbid on it.
Maybe Retro outbid me for it? Not sure where he got his.

Do you know if they are homemade or were official PIONEER signs made from Lite-brite parts?

No, not homemade but "official" promo signs made for Pioneer for stereo shops to display in their sound rooms that sold their gear or wherever they chose to hang it. Maybe Retro has more info on them.
 
pioneervato-do you have pics posted of your listening room with the sign?

My memory does not serve me well if I had seen pics of your gear before, plus the fact that I don't visit here as much as I used too.
 
I think I do. I will have to search my computer files for it and will post it in this tread if I find it. I may have already posted it on AK a while back and if so I will post the link.
 
Nice set-up ! Especially for just the bedroom set-up.

Just goes to show that you can never have too much silver :banana:
