Does any one out there have any idea of how to remove the grills from the Advent Bookshelf 1's???
I have tried everything short of a sledge hammer with no movement. Any ideas would be grateful

This reply is a few years too late, but I just had one of these go bad myself. I finally smashed it open to see what was in it. Both speakers and the crossover were glued to the cabinet. There was no insulation inside, either.

The cabinet is solidly glued together and there is no way to it to access it from the outside. If you have one that goes bad, it cannot be repaired or upgraded. None of the components can be replaced or easily salvaged (and are not worth salvaging).

I hope this helps someone out.
