JBL L 250 A New Addition To My System

Hi All.

Starting this thread to show case my new JBL's. I got them from a local eBay seller and they will be delivered tomorrow. They need a bit of work to the woofers, and I'll try them out at that point.

We will see the level of restoration or modification evolve on this thread. Opinions Knowledge and Suggestion are welcome. Although please leave the finishing proses to me as I am a professional furniture finisher. You can help in color choice or salvage of the original finish to keep them historically correct.

I do not know the history and level change of this JBL model from the tech side. Also the the crossover and mechanics of this system I know nil.

Lets turn these L250s into a new work of art once again:thmbsp:

JBL used to make speaker reconing kits for those woofers. I used to work in a shop that did them. New surround, cone, voice coil. Came with glue, a spacer to get the gap right, and the dust cover. I do not know if they still make them or not. A factory repair parts would be best due to the odd 'flat-wire' coils they used.

Ya I will. We need to decide weather I fill the chips, touch them up, tint faded areas and re-coat. My touch-ups would be so good you would never know that that were there.

Or we can do a translucent color to see the wood grain. Could be a trendy Tope color popular today, Black,Red Purple I can do anything that you see on furniture or cars. Skip the car colors!! to nice of wood. I might take photos of samples and post for a vote. Also fabric need addressing.
