............of wedded bliss - or something like that.
Got married about 4:00PM on March 7, 1981. A lot has changed in the world since then. Mostly for the good.
To celebrate, we'll take off in about an hour and drive over to the coast (Santa Cruz), check into this clunky little motel we like to stay in, and spend most of the afternoon hitting all the antique stores on Soquel Ave. We'll avoid the beach this time while the wife's new knee is still in the "learning" stage. Early in the evening, we'll sit on the balcony of the motel, sip on some wine or other refreshments, and watch the folks go in and out of the tattoo parlor across the street. Then, a short walk across the parking lot to the Mei Gardens Chinese Restaurant for some excellent food, then back to the balcony for a nightcap and the wife to smoke her once-a-year cigar.
Up tomorrow morning, a drive through one of the back roads in the redwoods, a stop at a Dutch bakery in San Jose, and back home by early afternoon.
Life doesn't get much better than that!:thmbsp:
