I thought the Pioneer having the deal sweetened by a nice discount being a year older was the clincher with other considerations fairly equal. Frankly they are both too bling driven to me!
Interesting that you took from my comments that I was probably going to go with the Pioneer Elite, as I felt personally that I was tilted more towards the Marantz.:lmao:
I'm sure either one would be great!
Can always get a good mic and REW it later.
Thanks for all the comments..!
Wait. It looks like the Pioneer Elite SC-65 only has one analog audio input.
That seems sort of strange.
I'd have to plug my turntable into that (with my Heed phono pre) and not be able to plug anything else in.
The Marantz has 5 pairs of Analong Inputs, and a friggin' Phono Input.
Hmm.
Well, another option is to get the best AVR for movies, then get a TOTL 2 channel with HT Passthrough.
Leaning back towards the Pioneer Elite. It sounded damn good with movies..

Congratulations on your new Pioneer Elite AV receiver's choice!
She's a real beauty (SC-65)! :thmbsp: ...She shines like a brand new penny, aboard the new Titanic cruiseship.
