Denon DP-23f: score or scam?

Today, I picked up a CL Denon DP-23f with a Stanton L737S cartridge. All of the mechanics seem OK. There are scratches on the dust cover consistent with a monthly attack by a feather duster. Plinth, Platter, and tonearm look like new. Cannot find a single scratch or flaw. Hooked it up, and it plays fine.

$70. Score or scam?

I guess I was trying to write something catchy. "Score or Scam" sounded like a good game show name. I definitely don't think any scam was involved. Mostly asking if the price I paid is consistent with the market.

Doesn't matter either way. I went from zero turntables to one, and for less money than my wife pays to have her hair colored.

Still keeping my eyes open for the $50 garage sale SX-1980. No longer holding my breath.

Improbable, but not impossible. The stepfather of a guy I work with picked up a mint SX-1980, a pair of HPM-1500's and one other thing (he forgot what it was) for $500. Not quite a $50 garage sale, but still...

I would say that your price was well below the market. I had one in silver that I got a hundred for three years ago.
