Been awhile since I posted on the board. Been busy etc. Just wanted everyone to see the little receiver I just got for free. It was supposed to have a couple small problems but I plugged her in and hooked up a pair of Sansui speakers and let her rip. She has now been going strong for a total of 12 hours and working PERFECTLY. No hiss's pops, whistles etc. I did clean the pots before I hooked it up so that may have solved whatever issue she had. I also have a Sansui 9090 and 3 of the big 4 Pioneer receivers. SX-1010, 1050, and the 1250. This one blows them all away. Anyway here are a couple pics I thought you guys would like to see.

Wow, free! Congrats! Some of us are paying hundreds to get in the game.:thmbsp:

I agree, the only thing that gets close to a G-9000DB is the 9090DB. How does it compare to the SX-1250?

Mine is doing great, though I've not been able to get impressed with it as there's always someone home saying "turn it down!":D

When I get the 1250 back from a refurb I will let you know. However I really dont see how the 1250 can compete with this beast. And I am a huge Pioneer fan but this thing is crazy sweet. Man I love these Sansui's too. Funny how all my high power Pioneers are in need of some help right now but the 3 Sansui's are running strong ... Hmmmmmmm

Can't beat the price and it looks better than most of the "minty" units I've seen for sale lately.

Have to sell it Daggumit

Well now I have to sell it because my other toy ( Corvette ) needs some major work and since I cant drive this on a sunny day I decided to put it on the bay. I really tried to figure a way to keep it but it was between the Sansui and my Pioneer SX 1250 and the Pioneer won out. I have a Sansui 9090 I listen to more than anything so the only thing is I wont be able to say I own one anymore. On the plus side when I get the money for it I can get some of the things on the Corvette repaired. I need to buy a water pump and a distributor and they cost a total of $380.00 plus shipping. I should have enough left over for the labor that it will cost to install these darn things. Oh well it was fun while it lasted albiet a very short time.
