Natural born thread killer
I had no pets but

at about 6 am yesterday I heard a strange scratching sound at my back door.
I open the door and a black and white cat runs in.

very friendly and affectionate.

I quickly open a can of tuna to feed the creature.

I have let him/her ? outside many times and it keeps coming back.

I guess I need to buy a cat litter box.

I need to find a camera

I'm a dog person but I can tell you right now, you belong to the cat. Enjoy and take good care of him/her.

Probably best if you intend on keeping the lil guy/girl is to make him/her an inside cat - you don't want to lose him/her now that you found each other. :thmbsp:

Congratulations! I had a friend who acquired a cat in similar fashion. She thought it was a girl until she brought it to the vet and was informed otherwise. She named him Lola!

We had a cat that did that and we fed her and took her it in. After a while she was scratching at the door to get out. We let her out and within 5 minutes she was trotting back with her kitten son. It's been over 20 years and they've both passed away since but I loved them both dearly, they were great companions and I never regretted for one second taking them in.

good name - ha ha

so far I call this one kitty or cat

Rescue animals make the best pets cuz they're happy to be there! We took in a Husky under similar conditions .

I have rescued two dogs, and I have adopted two dogs. The rescue dogs were 100 percent more loving, clingy, and in a word "Thankful" that I rescued them. They let me know it every day.

Take good care of that Cat. If it were my Cat, I'd take him/her to the Vet ASAP for a routine exam and to make sure he/she is healthy. A round of vaccines are more than likely something the vet will recommend, along with checking for worms and fleas.

Enjoy your new friend best friend.

Yes, indeed, you are now that cat's human - at least until you fail. Starting with tuna sets a pretty high bar.
