Quite a week.........

Purposely steps on an opponents leg in the Gator Bowl and then lies about a post game apology
Then gets tossed off his team,
And now arrested on weapons charges because he pulls a piece on some 17 year old in a MickeyD's lot.

He could have the world by the tail, but my money says this punk will be dead before he's 25.

Yep. Clarett was charged on a weapons crime last week too, wasn't he??

I'm just surprised Michael Vick hasn't straighted his l'il brother out, but maybe Marcus is beyond stupid?
 
THEY ARE SENDING THE WRONG MESSAGE TO THE YOUNGSTERS THESE DAYS 1% of all high school players are gifted enough to get to go pro and these idiots are pissing it away
 
Just when we thought Terrell Owens was the biggest jerk in sports, along comes Marcus Vick. He's way beyond a jerk. Aside from major personality disorders he has to be just plain stupid, pissing away millions of dollars like that. Michael must be embarrassed as hell. :tears:
 
You can bet that his bad behavior didn't just start. He was probably being a "jerk" for years because people would let him get away with it and he just kept getting worse until finally he found a line - outright criminal behavior.
 
This is exactly why I detest sports figures. They give these guys millions with contracts that some come from not having anything but raw talent and huge egos. Time and time again they are caught DUI, with prostitutes,drugs, weapons. They get a slap on the wrist and feel its my life I can do what I want don't care that millions of kids look up to me and would follow my lead.
Money put into the hands of ego tripping morons=just what ya got here!
It's a stupid game! But nowdays they take it way to serious and lash out at others. More fights these days than anytime I can remember where is the so called sportsmanship? :thumbsdn:

This isn't the first time he was disiplined at VT. Was suspended before.

Gets thrown off the team and says .....

Something like "I'm goin pro baby!!" It don't matter
 
There's a big difference between pro and college. These college guys are sanctioned by their school, face the law, etc. They still get all sorts of preferential treatment that no sports/entertainment figure would even dream of, but true superstars playing professional sports have teams of attack lawyers, media people, etc. Look at OJ, Kobe, Sprewell (I would love to see Sprewell vs. Bobby Knight).
