No sticky shed. Very excellent tape. Still manufactured today as RMG International SM 911 and in 1 mil form as LPR-35. Any machine which biases fine with Maxell XL1 can use this tape equally well or better. A studio favorite.

well I have a Technics 1500us it says in the manual it's biased for Scotch 206 I believe, I need to get that redone. to this tape apparently.

I have several variations of NOS BASF tape and have never had any issues with it. Works as good as my Maxell on a TEAC X1000r.

BASF tape never is sticky. They didn't use the binder chemicals that caused SSS. Rarely does BASF tape have issues, and then we're talking about production errors.

...while we're on the subject - what about the fancy BLACK BOX SCOTCH CLASSIC? I just got a 10.5'' on a small hub SONY plastic reel. Should I just
try it or can someone tell me? Back coated.
THANKS
