I think it's the understated look that they have. They look like crappy Technics or Sony but OMFG do they deliver the goods.

4412's in a home tower package....

Some have questioned whether the 2214H is as good a woofer as the 128H-1. A lot seems to depend on the box they're in. It's said the 2214 has stiffer cone but they share the same magnetic structure and that the 2214 works better in a larger box and the 128 better in a smaller box or in a large box with a passive radiator (L150/A). In this case here, I've heard some say the L100T is not as linear in response as the 4412A but then the 4412 is a studio monitor.

Still a good buy for the price, IMHO. :thmbsp:
