JBL 4311B vs L100 century

Has anyone ever noticed any sonic differences between the L100 foam grilles and the 4311 cloth grill cloth?

u$500 4311b and L100. in very good condition. :scratch2:

I've had L110A (late) and still a pair of 4310(late), 4312B, etc. If someone were to twist my arm and make me take another pair, I'd have to go with the 4311B, resale value be damned.

I'll have to admit, it's a bit like "which of your kids do you like best"?

My original pair of L-100s, in spite of excellent care, required replacement of the foam grllles. I was lucky enough to get in on the JBL factory replacement cloth inserts. As a result, there isn't a significant difference between them and the 4311s.

I have been sorely tempted to purchase a pair of the replacement foam grilles that are on the market now, but the cloth JBL replacements coordinate better with the grilles on my 4310s, 4311s and 4312s.

Please let us know which pair you acquire and how you like them!
