Mallory capacitor codes

I just pulled a Mallory can cap from a partially-finished amp chassis. I don't think the whole thing is that old, but I can't find any sort of recognizable date code on the can. The numbers are:
FP288A (which I believe is the model #)
t 65*C (rather self-explanatory)
4 39 05 01 (huh?)

This can is exactly what I need for a restoration project, and I've had trouble finding 40uF electros with a 500VDC rating - which happens to be both sections of this one.

Antique Electronic Supply has the Sprague Atom, Aluminum Capacitors 40 µF @ 500v
can you wire these under the chassis, they are really good caps although a little large to
fit in tight places.
