Replacing a needle on a cartridge...

Can anyone recommend a place that I can send in an "original" cartridge to have the "needle" replaced on it?

I have an original 'Toshiba' cartridge with a broken needle and would like to have it replaced with a new needle?

I would like to keep everything on the Toshiba (model: SR-F102) turntable "original" and since I have the original cartridge with the "TOSHIBA" name on it (but with a broken needle) I would like to keep it that way if possible?

The original needle that came with the turntable when I first purchased it, brand new, broke many, many years ago (early 80's) and back at that time (before the internet) I replaced the cartridge along with a needle. But after all these years of it being stored (still had the original belt believe it or not!) and finally taking it out and messing with it, it still works! I have since replaced the original belt and it works fantastic, just would like to put the original Toshiba cartridge back on the tone arm and as I previously mentioned, would like to keep everything original, if possible.

Thanks everyone for your time and suggestions and/or recommendations.

Usually the "factory" cartridges are made by another company, (most commonly Audio Technica.) Most of the time, the stylus is user replaceable. If you could shoot a photo of the cartridge, we could probably help point you in the right direction.

The original cartridge and stylus should have been:Toshiba C-44 phono cartridge and Toshiba N-44D stylus.

Check EBay and see if there is any original offerings. :scratch2:

The Pfanstahl catalog cross references it to their 705-D7 stylus. I did a search for the Pfanstahl 705-D7 and found several vendors have them in stock.

Picture's as suggested.....

These pictures were taken with my iphone.....

I currently have the original Toshiba cartridge stored in the same small box from the cartridge and stylus that replaced it all those years ago.

The last picture....

I have two turntables that I used to use back in the late 70's, early 80's.
One is a Toshiba SR-F102 and the other is a Technics SL-230 and this is a picture of the box of the cartridge and stylus, that the Technic's currently has. (yea, I keep just about everything!) Both turntable's still work flawlessly, just replaced the belts and that's it!

Believe me, I looked on the internet for a possible exact match for the original Toshiba cartridge and stylus but no luck. I did however find this as maybe a close match?

EDIT: ** Forgot to mention this but if you notice the last picture in post #7 of the 'specifications' in the original Toshiba manual, it list the cartridge as a C 44M, and when you click on the website that I posted (in this post) if you read the very bottom it gives a list of replacement Toshiba cartridge's and C 44M is one of them (maybe two of them?.......noticed that it list a C-44M as well as a C 44M?...wonder what the difference is between the two....other than just the dash (-) on the part number?)

I doubt you will find a stylus that's labeled as a "Toshiba" so you will have to get one that's made by somebody else...after all, Toshiba probably didn't make either the cartridge or the stylus in the first place.

I have complete confidence in the Pfanstahl catalog I have. Their charts are very thorough and if they say their 705-D7 fits, I would wager that it will. The link you posted at turntableneedles.com is likely a Pfanstahl and the vendor just didn't list the manufacturer. For $23 it's worth a try.

Personally, though, I'd put something on there with an elliptical tip, not a conical.

Yes I know and realize that, after searching the web sometime back for an exact replacement.

That is why I was originally asking "if anyone could recommend a place that replaces or add's a stylus to a cartridge"?
