I recently saw Robin Trower at a small local theater and was overwhelmed by his development and mature mastery of the guitar. The rest of the band were OK but Trower went of on long improvisational sessions that were astounding. Like some of the old jazz artists, his stylistic maturity had depth and beauty. I wish the concert had been recorded.

I saw him on tour this summer too and you are right . Complete mastery of the guitar with a LOT of feeling . His new album is amazing ( The Playful Heart
). :music:

I found 5 of his first 6 albums on saturday.

AND in near mint condition.

It was ironic how I found them.

I was running late to an appointment when the lady of the house rung to say she had to leave and we would have to reschedule.

I thought I'd check the local Salvation Army store just before it closed.

A young lady was looking through the records and I glimpsed "Robin Trower", when she moved I quickly dived in.

All the albums were in superb condition,:banana:
Twice removed from yesterday 1973
Bridge of Sighs 1974,
For earth below 1975,
Long misty days 1976,
In city dreams 1977.:banana::banana::banana:

I also scored a few others, Curtis Knight- Down in the village 1970.

CCR- Cosmos Factory.

Mahogany Rush - Strange Universe 1975 and IV 1976:banana:

Trower is great, as is The Playful Heart. He's probably about due for another.

Are the Trower albums the green label or blue ? And is there a difference ?
James Dewar's voice is amazing .

His show from Detroit 2008 was recorded and released it was called RT@RO.08. It was excellent, he used a different drummer for that tour. As far as your show goes I'm sure if you look on some of the sites it's out there but the quality will be dissapointing.

Saw Trower at the House of Blues here this summer. Really good concert, great guitar playing. The only thing disturbing is how old they look! If you get a chance to see him don't miss the chance.
