Hi. Does anybody know if the Sony 6120 and 7065 receivers have the same cabinet dimensions? Much appreciated if you know off hand.

Thanks,
john

Or does anybody have a 7065? I can measure the 6120 as it's here now.

It's about 18" wide by 14 1/2 inches deep. Hmm...found the 7065 dimensions online, should be the same. But if anybody has both it would be a nice assurance. I'm basically just trying to figure out if all the big Sony units had the same size cabinets for when and if I look for one for the STR-6120.

My 6200 doesn't fit my 7055 case. My 6060 does.

Thanks. I wondering if maybe there were a few standard sizes? My TA-2000 and 3200f have the same cabinet size (but different venting on the cabs)...and they look identical to the cabinets on some of the smaller integrated amps of the time period. Worst case I just make my own or go through a cabinet maker, but there's a 7065 case online and I just got a 6120. Mmm....6060. I've always wanted one.

There are standard cases; Axel includes some info on them on his vintageknob site and google will help with a search on tac-1n, 5n, 6 and other derivatives.

The 6060 is a very sweet unit once the multiplexing problem is corrected, a very easy fix. I use it at my desk with BD Pipes, a very pleasing combination though I am currently experimenting with a subwoofer to fill in the low end a bit.
