Veterans Day

Asking a prayer for a vet I just learned is in the V.A. hospital at Palo Alto. Went to see him today. A solid guy, a brother in more ways than one. A vet, peace officer and a man of God. Had a stroke at home and little mini aftershocks(forgot what there called) while there in the hospital. "Luckily" they found it was blood clots near his neck early and has been on heavy blood thinners. Otherwise he LOOKS healthy. Talking strong and good solid handshake. Now the rehab and as his left side is a little weak. They'll have to add couple things like bars around his house until full recovery.

What a song! Both lyrics and melody do so much to support each other. A one of a kind composition and so timely that you posted that particular day.

I am so thankful that I was able to sidestep during a time of peace while in. Others were not so fortunate and paid the ultimate price, and not too long ago.

One day a year to remember is not enough to pay tribute.
