What do you mix with JAMESON?

Long story short, My dad went to Ireland, and brought me back a bottle of JAMESON. He said over there, the common drink was a "JAMESON, and PINK" Apparently the "PINK" is a form of pink lemonade. I have just been sipping it straight so far, and it is a pretty nice whisky, but I am wondering what the "common" American way to drink JAMESON would be? For the record, I normally drink JACK DANIEL's---all three types, and occasionally some KNOB CREEK, which I have found to be really good with coke too.

With coffee, and maybe a splash of Bailey's.... and if you like a dollop of whip cream drizzled with a taste of Creme de mint..

I'd just drink it neat. It's pretty good with ginger ale, though. The common American way? Coke, I suppose, probably nearly tied with rocks.

The "Big Ginger" is what you are thinking of and is delicious. The Local in Minneapolis has sold the most Jameson of any bar in the world for several years strait.

Peter Killen, managing partner of the Local, attributes some of the sales to the success of their signature "Big Ginger" drink, which combines 2 oz of Jameson with gingerale, lemons and limes.

Nah, nothing against The Local but I am thinking of a "Jameson Ginger", which can include lemon, and was certainly not a recent invention. Also, they sell the most because it is their rail whiskey(!)

If I'm drinking Irish wiskey I ask for Powers. As for the Jameson you might try it with a splash of soda.

I'm with Similost on this one. If you don't have the full palette of ingredients he recommends on hand, simply use a healthy shot of Jameson's, a teaspoon of brown sugar, and strong coffee topped with whipped cream.

Otherwise, I'd drink it neat, or with a splash of water or soda on ice.
