2026 College Basketball

Hope everyone is able to watch some of these late season games! There's some great basketball to be seen.

I just watched the Michigan - Iowa game. It's representative of the type of game you hope to see late in the season. Michigan won by 3, but the game was so well played on both sides it was constantly, short of a few short leads by Michigan, a very very close game.

Now the one thing that I have to say is that Michigan, with 18 turnovers in the game, will not get away with that for too long in the NCAA tournament. They do turn over the ball a lot overall, not just this game.

You just never really knew who was going to come out ahead.

I watched a little of the Wisconsin - Purdue game. Purdue has the talent, but hasn't been playing well the last month or so. I don't expect them to go far in the tournament. Wisconsin might not either, but they've won against some very high rank teams, and are playing pretty well now.

Mich St - Mich is a great game. In the second half they're both shooting somewhere around 70% at the 10 minute mark.

OH No, 2 of Dukes starters are out. Going to make it much tougher to go deep into the tournament. Can They? :dunno: Hopefully Patrick Ngbonba will be back, but Foster is very doubtful.

I know there are plenty of Duke haters out here and its fine, but this years team has been one of the most fun to watch. Where's the crying smiley?

I'm not a Duke fan, but I actually like them this year. I imagine they're pretty deep on the bench and hopefully can fill the void of the starters being out. I hate seeing good/great teams being crippled by injuries, but it's just part of the game.

It's a farm school, whaddya expect?

I'm an Iowa grad, they treat us even worse, but we just brush them off as being the ugly step children.

As for the topic, my Hawks need to get some other scorers into the mix. Stirtz is the man, but you can't play 1 on 5. Foulgeiras has flashes, as does Banks and Koch, but there's too much standing around waiting for Showtime to work. They'll be one and done in the dance especially if we get Duke in the second round.

I think any team in the top 10 could reach the final four but sorry 75, I'm not as excited about KU going far - they're kind of schizo. That Cinci loss was terrible, though Cinci looked like they could have beaten anyone that day.

My dark horse would be St. John's and if hot, Iowa State has the talent. And of course, Duke is Duke.
I agree, my Jayhawks are either hot or cold. Frustrating.

I went to the KU - TCU game Thursday night. It’s great fun to attend the pep rally. Having the Big 12 tournament in KC attracts a huge amount of Jayhawk fans. Unfortunately Houston mopped the floor with us last night.

I've watched the majority of the B1G tourney games. Skipped most of the first few rounds. Got to see some great basketball.

Most were very competitive games. Purdue seems to have shown up for the tournament playing the way a team with that much talent should. They've played somewhat like KU has - inconsistent, and especially so over the last month or so of conference games. Michigan is rolling as expected. Today's final has the potential to be a good one.

Wisconsin appears to be set for the tournament. That's a good team, and came close to beating MI yesterday. There are some other teams that could do well in the NCAA tournament. Iowa, Nebraska, UCLA and Ohio State all played well.

I tried to keep up with the other tournaments, but there are so many it's difficult and takes more time than I care to invest. I was looking through the list of teams that had won their conference and secured a bit to the tournament. The array of teams always makes the NCAA tournament special.

I'd rather not see a final four of #1 seeds again, but if it happens it happens.

Looking forward to it.

I agree with @devnull regarding the Badgers. If their guards had not been ice cold from the field most of the game, they would be playing today, and even so the Wolverines needed a buzzer beater to win it in regulation. Looking forward to today's final against the Boilermakers!

Just a reminder, today is "Selection Sunday" Here is a link to the March Madness game for this year. Some of us have been doing this for a while through Audiokarma. If you were in last year, you should have been notified at Last Year's EMail.

Ha! I'm watching the Purdue-Michigan championship game for the B1G tournament, and I'm cheering for both teams. I'd rather see Michigan win, but I like Purdue too.

Congratulations to Purdue for winning the B1G Tournament!

They took over the game in the second half and Michigan was playing catch up but never really posed a threat. Michigan might have pulled within 5, but Purdue would immediately pull ahead by a few scores. This team looked like what I'd have expected of them. As I've mentioned, they have the talent to be good. They have the bigs, the forwards and great guards.

Stoked to see my Boilers play VERY solid team ball on both ends.

Great Ivy League Championship game that went into OT earlier today as well.

I signed up, haven't done anything with the bracket yet.

I have never filled out a bracket for the tournament. Figured I'd join and give it a go. I know that the chances of my bracket doing well are pretty low, but it should be fun. Knowledge of teams and how they've been playing can only take you so far, and I have a tendency to favor the B1G as that's what I watch, so that bias alone will pretty much wreck my chances.

Well, here we are NCAA 2026 tournament :beerchug:
It has been a great year to watch NCAA basketball. I've especially been impressed with the amazing freshmen talent this year. The Tar Heels were in the hunt, beating Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Virginia, Clemson, and even Duke once

However, the loss of Caleb Wilson the day before the second Duke game puts them out of the Final Four category. Hopefully they will win a few games in the tourney but they aren't the threat they were :(

The top four earned their seeds, excepting Florida perhaps. I thought the Big 12 conference was better than SEC this year. It's going to be a great tourney!

I made my bracket choices.

Heh. I know I didn't pick enough upsets, but I think the tournament will be dominated by the #1 seeds again - and I hope I'm wrong because I like the dark horse teams that seemingly come out of no where and make a run.

It's fun to fill out the brackets. I know next to nothing about any teams except those in the Big12. Sometimes I just pick a team by mascot or school colors. :)
