Any local turntable service options in Massachusetts?

I desperately need help with a BSR changer.

I can handle some simple things with servicing these turntables - getting the platter off, cleaning and relubricating the parts under there and the motor.

But, the changer mechanism is a mess of lots of moving parts that all do a bunch of magic as far as I'm concerned.

I have a BSR C198 changer that was doing funky things with the arm. I reached out on a facebook group devoted to BSR turntables hoping they could point me to someone local to service it. Instead, some moron insists he can walk me through it, I insisted he could not, he broke me down, and once he got me to a point where I couldn't get anything back together, blocked me, leaving me with a disassembled mess.

I got to a point where I took out a clip to lubricate a part that was not moving smoothly, and instead of it being a post I could lift the part off of, it was a pin with a spring that fell down from a spot impossible to lift it back into without more extensive disassembly. By this point I could barely remember where the parts I already took off went, and the guy blamed me and blocked me.

Further asks for help on the facebook group went nowhere.

I did manage to get things put back together without the fallen out part and the part it holds back in, to have as much as I can back in it's right spot while I figure out the next move - although I ended up with an extra e clip that I need to figure out where it goes.

Given how bad these attempts always go, I really desperately need someone local that can service it for money, or someone that can assist or help.....but online help guiding me through it, documents, pictures, videos - that will just get me in more trouble with this thing.

Please, for the love of god, someone help! I bend over backwards for anyone anytime I can when I see someone in need of help, but there never seems to be any karma that comes back my way when I need it. Hopefully my luck can start changing soon.

Used to be a guy in Epping NH, but I am pretty sure he stopped. Last time I tried, his number was being used by someone else.

If you ever travel to Maine, there's a guy in the Cornville area who works on Duals...he might take on your BSR. He currently has a Dual 1219 on Craigslist Maine...you can try to contact him there. I did that a few years ago for a 1019, and he said he'd take on the work, but I never got it to him. Worth a try if you get up that way. D

Thanks for those suggestions.

Meanwhile - I ordered some supplies, and managed to get the dropped pin and spring back in place with a goose neck arm with clip on the end to line it up, and a screwdriver to wedge it back up, and now I'm kinda back where I'm started.
Things seem to operate fine, but despite the cleaning and lubrication, the changer seems to be making some noises I'm not sure are normal, and the tonearm doesn't move quite as freely as I would expect.
I posted a little overview of the current situation in this video -
Any suggestions on what further maintenance should be done would be greatly appreciated.

Earlier today I PM'd you a suggestion...

Yes you did, I did receive it and have filed that away. Since I got past the initial problem I'm going to continue to pursue diy options with any help/suggestions that come along, but I will definitely hold onto that info if the need to find someone to service it or something else does come up again. Thanks so much for reaching out with that.

I tried to PM you but couldn't make contact. I'll try again, but if it doesn't work, perhaps you can PM me.
