I just bought a Carver C-4000 pre-amp for $150. The guy I bought it from is also a collector and we traded my Sansui AU-717 for the Carver and $100.
Anybody have any suggestions, hints, instructions, etc for this vintage pre.
I have read reviews and most seem to rave about it. Opinions?????

It works!!!!! Lots of pushbuttons, etc. Does anybody have a manual scanned, I would hate to pay $30 for a download. Sounds really good with everything flat. Wish it were the gun metal grey so it would fit in with the all black, but you can't have everything. To clarify I got the Carver + $100 and he got the Sansui.
