Channel Master Stereo Probe 9 or Winegard 6065HD

Which would you pick, and why. Both seem to be very good antennas, maybe the Probe 9 is a fuzz better for reception? Maybe the Winegard has a sturdier build? Or visa-versa?

I'd appreciate any thoughts, comments and input.

Are either of these available? The 6065 I know has been out of production for years. Had one, gave it to a friend when I got an APS 13, which was really not that much better and much cheaper construction and has not held up all that well over time. When I moved 7 years ago, the APS was already showing its age and tired to buy another 6065 to replace it.

Pretty sure that at least with the Innovantennas, they'll have more solid construction. None of those rolled up flat stock elements...and there's solid engineering behind the designs, if you look at their ham antennas. I'd plunk down the cash if I had room for their smaller FM broadcast antenna out on my firescape. But I don't...so the Stellar 4 does the job.

1) They can not count
2) The pic is wrong
3) Description is wrong
I talked to the rep, he said it was a Delhi clone not much more info

I have a source in Canada for an 8-element FM antenna. About to order one and check it out.

The big problem is the cost of shipping, esp across the border.

That antenna looks interesting. Unfortunately, they claim that they do not sell to the public, business only.

However, when you try to "Find A Dealer" on their website, in addition to your location, they want your full name, email address and phone number. Seems rather intrusive, just to "Find A Dealer",as they have no interest in selling to me directly. Think I'll pass;)

Yes that is correct, TDL does not sell to the public directly, only to installers, distributors etc. I am an authorized reseller.
I had to obtain permission from Channel Master, as well, to sell/install their products, since they are in the process of shutting down the eBay and Amazon re-sellers. If you are caught selling Channel Master products on eBay, Amazon etc., they will dis-qualify you from selling their products. They are very serious about this, after my discussion with the very nice sales manager in Arizona.

Short ride to the boarder for me, except its pretty much closed until we get past Covid.

So.... to solve my problem, I ended up with both. The Channel Master was rehabbed with new stainless steel bolts and nuts and is in good shape.

And then a Winegard crossed my path last week and I picked it up for about the price of a new Stellar Labs 4 element yagi. No box, but complete with instructions. Never used and I doubt it has ever been fully assembled with the elements snapped into place. :)
