DAVE MASON : 10 MAY 1946 -- 19 APRIL 2026

I've been a fan of his since his Traffic days and his "Alone Together" marble vinyl has been in my collection since it was released in 1970. I only saw him once playing with Delaney and Bonnie when they toured with Blind Faith. They did a great cover of "Only you Know and I Know" and Clapton joined in to play on "Comin' Home"

RIP and thanks for the music you've bettered my life with.

Had the pleasure of seeing him perform live at the San Joaquin County Fair in Stockton, CA some years ago.

One of the great ones is gone.
 
I bought one of his solo albums around '73 or '74 and didn't play it much as it wasn't the heavy rock or blues I was into back then. I will have to pull it out and listen to it more carefully as it should be in mint condition. RIP Dave.
 
Them's were better days in songwriting and soulful performing without pyrotechnics and cheerleader style choreography backing up the lead singer. I have a best of Dave to play then in his honor. Sorry he's left us. So it goes.
