Fisher 500C cap upgrade - help please C92 and C98

Hello all
I have a can cap to upgrade C92A-C - this does not include a section for 92D. So I have mounted two 560 microfarad electrolytic in series, one on top of the other ( see pic) , giving me around 280 micro farads, this now has two leads off it - one + one -ve.
I am just wondering how I attach this cap into the circuit to cover both C92D and C98 , both 200 microfarads??

I am just having a blank moment - any advice would be appreciated .

I see what your doing.

This is really the wrong way to replace them.

You need another pair like the first ones,

But then they should have equalizing resistors installed for proper operation.. Not good.

I would get capacitors that are closer to what you need.

This is the Voltage Doubler.

280 uf would be OK, But hooked in series has other problems.

Thankyou Buck Rogers
Sorry not familiar with voltage doubler ? - I understand that I have effectively doubled the combined capacitance voltage to 800v ( 400v each cap). Can you please elaborate.
So what you are suggesting is add a 200 micro farad cap .

Decided to go with Hayseed Hamfest direct replacement cans - drop out / drop in replacements

A voltage doubler is the high voltage rectifier arrangement that Fisher uses consisting of C98, C92D, CR5 and CR7 arranged in this specific way.

C98 has its negative at half the plate supply, or about 215 volts. The can may not be directly attached but there is enough leakage that if you touch it, you will not enjoy the experience.
