This free event is featuring Horn related audio equipment. Including tube amplification and historical vintage equipment. Your host's are John Kalinowski and Tim Wade McCarthy. These are seasoned well known audio guys. I'm expecting this to be a great show. Here is the FB info. Horn Audio Fest 2026 at the Overture Center for the Arts

Is this in a small room at the venue? I don't see an audio event in the main hall because of its size. I've seen Ryan Adams there.

That makes sense. Thanks.

When I was working for Koss we had a product line intro at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee. We had the whole CM speaker series on the stage, actually on the rising orchestra pit it was pretty impressive.

I Bet. I cant wait to see what others Bring. I would of participated myself If I thought about it. Maybe next year. I'm sure I could have whipped something up.

It was a great time and will be going back next year. Here a couple photos of some of the items there. As usual, I should’ve taken more.

There was also a Lansing Iconic speaker there. And as a JBL guy myself it was a real pleasure to see and talk with the owner. The owner told me it was one or three and I feel it is in good hand for the next 40 years of its life.

Here is an article on how he got them.

That was me! I am glad to have met you! I am not a 'JBL guy' but I care about audio history more than most, and am honored to have such a piece of audio and Saint Louis history-before I knew that it was a field coil Lansing Iconic, I knew I had to own the speaker, because of what it spent 50 years (or so) of its life doing-being a studio monitor in some form or fashion for one of the most storied recording studios in Saint Louis.

I've heard rumors that there are more, but as of yet, until I see photo proof, there's three I have been able to see with my own eyes, though one was photographed in an audio magazine in 1988 in Japan. JBL has the second one, and it was given to them by Avery Fisher in 1961.\

What an awesome event. It was really nice to see everyone. Especially David and Katie. Maybe we can have a huge midwest AK event next year, Downtown Madison WI is a great place to visit.

Well, dang! I had seen this but forgot all about it. I could have gone, too…am up in the northwoods, about 3 hours from Madison. Would have had to leave very early, though. Maybe next year.
