How about some back yard nature pictures?

Nature pic from yesterday of my Polk Atrium 6 speakers in their natural habitat :) …. (1 speaker in the shot mounted to the handrail in the back right corner of the deck)

Those things sound amazing and are bulletproof (have been entirely exposed to the elements through winter and summer and rain and storms for 7 years and still sound great (paired with in-ground sub under the deck))

Who, who! Cool shot.

Our problem neighbor finally left the neighborhood and took his 2nd floor balcony-mounted video cam with him. From his on-line posts we saw that it was aimed at the middle of our back yard. Maybe he was hoping for some Back Yard NAKED Pictures.

Here in the PNW, north of Seattle along the Salish sea. We've had our long delayed hard frost this week, temps dipping to 27 overnight.
I love to watch the native Douglas squirrels climbing all over our crabapple tree feeding on the fruit. Today was a little different, one of the critters decided to perch on the old carved Heron to take in the view.

Ok, so this was only a "temporary back yard" -- but it's kind of nature on steroids :). We were staying in Sicily, and when we first got to the villa, I felt like the earth was occasionally moving beneath me. Not a shake, but just super subtle movement. I eventually thought it was just my imagination.

When it was dark though, it was pretty obvious what was causing it. I didn't know anything about Mt. Etna before seeing this at night out the window. You couldn't see anything during the day, but at night it was crazy, and this was the normal mode every night. We were staying about 10km away -- the first photo is zoomed, the second is without zoom.

There's still 10 inches of snow here, I can't wait to see the green grass. I'll probably have to wait 40-60 days to see the green grass.

Looks like my Bulgarian palms made it through the cold and snows with a bit of burn,
... tho the bigger palm died last winter ...

I got a bad feeling that long week+ of below freezing weather may have "gotten" my banana plants - but, the daffodils are trying to come back!
