How about we all share what we are using to power our Klipsch Loudspeakers

I have two options... but currently I've got my CW2s with Crites diaphragms running on a chip amp due to space limitations...:eek::eek:

Option 1: NAD 2200 (pair bridged (recapped and upgraded by QuirkAudio)) + NAD 1155 (recapped and upgraded by QuirkAudio)

Option 2: Adcom GFA-565 (pair of monoblocks) + Adcom GFP-565

Now, if I can talk my wife into letting me set up the real amps... Sigh.

Marantz 2325 > Heresy’s (HWO 1982)

I’m just getting started. I ordered the Crites crossovers today and will probably order the tweeters and midrange drivers later. From reading about this I think I think my end game is going to be Chorus II’s or maybe Forte II’s or Cornwall’s, but until I find one of those I decided to see how far the Heresy’s would take me.

Cheers!

Edit: Bought some Chorus II’s and switched them out with my Heresy’s. So now it’s a 2325 > Chorus II’s.

Any one of three fully restored HH Scott 222c's with all kick ass NOS tubes powering fully upgraded/modded KLF-30's or.......

Crown K2's or........

Several Marantz amps (anxiously awaiting my 250 to get back from restoration)

New Denon X4500H took me a lot of research and it came down to the Denon or Marantz SR 6014
I read reviews and professional side by side comparisons and the Denon beat out ( not by much ) but where it counts and I purchased the Denon X4500H and I Love It!!

After these many months, how are you liking your Chorus II's? I have Heresy I's and am looking at some Chorus II's. I'm driving them with my Pioneer SX-737.

Can't complain at all. I honestly really liked the Heresy's but they lacked a little oomph for me, they obviously have a high floor on their bass (which I missed and liked to hear). The Chorus II's provide that little oomph I needed while mostly keeping the clarity I liked from the Heresy's. They sound great, I would say they have maybe a richer sound with a bit of a wider sound stage(?)

I have read the Chorus II's are somewhat hard to place in a room and I think my room is a little small, but I am able to get them off the walls and separate enough. I do wonder what they would sound like in a bigger room.

I kept the Heresy's and use them in my entertainment system, where they sound spectacular.

Added a new Luxman preamp CL-88uC as a front end to the existing Willsenton R8 integrated KT88 tube amp. Using its "pre-amp in" connection.
Sounds great except for the high frequency noise. It's not loud but the Fortes are very sensitive, as are my ears.

Got me thinking of finding a quiet SS power amp.
