One. A Canon Powershot A630, bought new. I did buy a newer one when my A630 seemed to stop working, but then found that it wasn't the camera but the rechargeable batteries were too old. Nice that it is still working, but its a pain, because the software doesn't work on the new computer.

On most cameras (except the really old ones from the late 90's and very early 00's), they often just have a standard Mini USB port that you can plug into your computer and it'll pop up as a mass storage device that you can just drag and drop your images from. No software required.

Inherited my dad's Canon PowerShot SD200 when I gave him a newer SD800 in 2010. Replaced it with a PowerShot G5. Then, decided to get into DSLRs with a used Nikon D1H. Multiple DSLR and P&S cameras later, I now shoot with a Nikon D3x.

Chronological order:

2010:
Canon SD200
Canon G5
Nikon D1H

2011:
Nikon D2x - shutter would throw an Err code from time to time, so returned it
Nikon D2H - Not reliable
Nikon D2x - Better than the previous D2x, but still picky about lenses, so traded it in on an F5 film body
Canon PowerShot S50

2012:
Canon PowerShot S70

2013:
Nikon D200 - less picky about lenses than the D2x

2015:
Another Nikon D2x - surprisingly, got along pretty well with this one, lens-wise - however, did trade it for a 55/1.2 Nikkor AI lens later in the year
Yet another Nikon D2x - higher mileage beater body, got it for $175.
Nikon D200 - got this when I apparently needed to help my sister out financially, only to realize it wasn't necessary, so the D200 went back and the D2x returned

2016:
Nikon D2H - very high mileage camera, seemed to shoot fine, though - got it for $52, plus shipping.
Nikon D2H - parts body for the D2x - had a nicer CF card slot door

2017:
Nikon D2xs - lower mileage than the D2x
Nikon D3 - the DSLR I owned the longest (six years)

2023:
Nikon D4 - almost as high mileage as the first 2016 purchased D2H, but much worse condition, returned to shop, and replaced with the D3 I traded in on it
Nikon D300 - decided to dabble in DX format again for a little bit, after trading the D3 in on an F5, which, unfortunately had a meter coupling ring problem during the time I owned it
Nikon D70s - was to be a gift to my niece, but she was going through some issues at the time, so used it for a bit myself, then gave it to a friend for a friend of his
Nikon D3s - replaced the D300 with it, probably should've just stuck with the D300, since the camera had impact damage that was not disclosed to me. It did work normally for the year or so that I shot with it, though. It was either the D3s, or go back to my old D3, which someone had purchased, used on a shoot, and dropped it, causing damage to the flash shoe.

2024:
Nikon D300 - higher mileage body that had a random shutter firing issue
Nikon D3 - very low mileage body, nearly mint cosmetically...of course...a few weeks after I pick that up....
Nikon D3x - almost as low mileage as the D3. Returned the D3, and traded a Nikon F film body with motor drive for it. Still own it.

I have two D 700 and a D 800 with a 16-35 mm Nikkor, a 100 MM Micro Nikkor and a 28- 300 mm Nikkor zoom. The wife had two Nikons. One was a p40 and I don't remember the other one. Any one want my two F2as with 7 lenses? I have a 700 mm Questar F8 mirror lens for the F2AS that would work with the D cameras, too. It has two Barlow step up extenders. Its sharper than any of my old Nikkor lenses or lenses for the D series cameras. I always wanted a Questar for my Hasselblads but it wasn't worth the money to me.

I have owned digital cameras since the later 1990s. Too many to remember them all. I currently have cleared out all my dedicated digital cameras except for a Canon R8. This said, I think I will trade it in for the Canon R6 III at some point. The R8 has been a good camera regarding size and weight. These days I no longer lug around heavy bodies and lenses. Heck, most of the photos I shoot is with a smartphone. I really don't like processing photos anymore and a smartphone does more than a decent job for the vast majority of the photos the average person takes these days. A lot of professional photographers use smartphones a good bit too.

Only have had two. A Sony something or another and my much loved and used Nikon S8100, still in use documenting progress of stereo receiver rebuilds mostly. Over 20K pics taken. The USB connector is getting flaky. Bummer is Nikon only makes higher capability ones these days.

Added a mirrorless - a Canon R6 MkII back in November when Lensrentals had their used gear sale. I love it with the TS-E lenses - focus peaking makes adjusting them much easier.

I've been collecting digital cameras for nearly 3 years now, and in that time frame I've gone through nearly 150 cameras. But at the moment I currently have nearly 80.
That's quite a few! I bought my first digital camera, a Leica Digilux 1, in 2003. The list below is not chronological, but I think it might be complete. Most cameras were purchased new, though the Sigma DP2s and both Olympus DSLR's were refurbished models. I currently own 4 digital cameras, noted in the list below.

Contax i4R
Fujifilm FinePix S200EXR
Kodak Easyshare Sport Camera C123
Leica Digilux 1
Nikon D50
Nikon CoolPix P7100
Olympus E-300
Olympus E-450 - currently own (since 2009)
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 - currently own (since 2018)
Pentax Optio W20
Ricoh CX3 - currently own (since 2011)
Samsung GX-1S
Sigma SD14
Sigma DP2s - currently own (since 2015)
Sony Mavica FD200
Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P41

I have a red S8100 which has definitely seen better days, but still works OK. I'll keep it around until it really breaks.

Have had a half dozen at least … Nikon, Canon, Panasonic
Don’t use much anymore, though threatening to pick it up again with grandkids. Think they’d enjoy some photo scavenger hunts.
