If y'all see Rich roaming the halls

Your courage (I'm talking about several who contribute here) to share what's happening in life -and often humor about it- is a source of strength and inspiration to me!
Keep it coming please.
And strength to you.

And you too. Hopefully people realize this is an inclusionary thread for all to offer their support
You are surrounded by "Our" love as well.

Frannie

I hate to post this. I am waiting for a very good friend who will be arriving from a two or three hour drive, to take me once again to the hospital. My throat has closed enough, the tumor now forcing my jaws apart and cver

I am running 103° fever, the tumor has completely covered my mouth, if I block the tracheostomy hole with my finger, no air will pass. My throat is officially closed.

Earlier this morning I almost threw up, I ripped out the inner cannula, scared the sh!t out of me but had it not have been able to pass through my tracheostomy, I would have drowned.

@hjames this would be a good spot for your wonderful line if you wish to post.

I would be honored to have that plus any notes you may want to add.

You are very kind, but its a quote from Richard Albert, aka - Baba Ram Dass - (April 6, 1931 – December 22, 2019)

Its about that piece of god within each of us that lifts us, if we allow ourselves to recognize and see it.
I do hear your struggles and worries, and we recognize the positive energy in your posts on the site -
even with your suffering, its so apparent that you DO get this!

Another of his quotes:

"I am not this body. I am in this body, and this is part of my incarnation and I honor it but that isn't who I am."

I am grieved. I hate this disease. I hate what it does to people’s bodies. But you, Rob, rise above it. You have beaten it already with your spirit, wit, courage and faith. My prayers continue for you… and for Frannie and for the others of this community who are fighting any type of cancer. May God truly bless you.

My (younger) brother retired a bit over 2 years ago from running his own garage with 6 bays, near Columbia, Md.
Sold off the biz and, within 6 months, his doctor found his lack of energy was due to 2 kinds of stage 4 cancer!
He started visits to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for radiation and Chemo and has been making good headway so far.
Leasions on his liver have shrunken or disappeared, and other symptoms are very improved.
We still pray for him - he turns 70 in July ...
Hope and a positive attitude is important, as are prayers from friends and family!

Your brother is in my prayers as well.

Funny thing about aging. The prayer lists keep getting larger.

Rob has not posted, but he’s responding to other’s posts :). We are all still praying for you, Rob. Praying for strength of faith, praying for relief from pain, praying for the peace that passes all understanding, praying that all your needs are met, praying that the Spirit will plead to the Father for those things we have no words to express. May God bless you fully today.

My last scheduled surgery I had already been approved. Total cost hospital and doctor was $18,7XX.xx.
My insurance covered all but my copay of $245.99 and I had paid it.

At the very last minute, someone (and we are investigating) called claiming I had no insurance and would be "self pay".

I would have been on the hook for around $40,000.

I shall return once I'm out of surgery and not loopy.

Rob, we will continue to pray earnestly for you, the surgical team, nurses and post care folks AND for the financial office and insurance people.
Rest easy in your Father’s hands. He loves you and wants the best for you. We’ll look forward to hearing from you when your head clears.

I came across this prayer to be prayed over your situation:

Not by my own might nor by my own power, but by the Spirit of the Lord I come against cancer.
I come against every form and every stage of cancer
Any pain or issues attacking Rob's body will be taken control of by the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our prayers are heard and will bind and cast out every evil spirit attempting to take control.
This cancer has NO place in Rob's body and has NO power over it and it is defeated and removed!
Therefore Father, fill every void left behind with Your presence, Your miracle working power,
Your peace, love, strength, restoration and comfort.
Thank you Jehovah Rapha (“I am the Lord, who heals you”: Exodus 15:26),
we give you all the glory, honor and praise, in Jesus' mighty name, Amen!

Amen! That means "So be it!" and/or "I agree!"
