depends on the price I guess for one thing. If it's really cheap then of course pick it up, even if it doesn't work.
First of all you have to accept there are issues with this receiver, do a bit of reading on this forum and you will find that out for yourself. But it is a very nice sounding receiver and I think worth getting into reliable working order.
I have one and I like the sound it produces. I have done quite bit of work on mine, thanks to this forum for the information that enabled me to do the work.

These need a TON of work. If the factory modification hasn't been done it can be catastrophic to your speakers if/when it fails. There's a few guys with these floating around here, but not too many.
