Is anyone experiencing random browser delays of Cloudflare errors trying to access AK?

I now can keep track nicely whenever I access AK as I hit <PrintScrn><Tab><Tab><Space> whenever I get the Cloudflare popup:
05:50
06:26
07:52
08:56
10:39
12:49
13:45
15:26
16:11
16:46
21:19
Even got an "Oops" screen when I just wanted to open a DM:

So far did not lose any typed-in content. But I always copy my text to clipboard just in case.

I really hope this can be fixed. This seems like using a hammer to kill a gnat. But I do sympathize with the cause. I despise Big Tech and their AI out for world domination. That's not a joke.

As I've said in various other threads, it wouldn't be so bad if Cloudflare asked me to re-verify maybe once a week, or perhaps even once a day. However, it keeps giving me the re-verification screen every 30 minutes, which seems like massive death overkill to me. Makes the chatroom damn near impossible to use, and as others have noticed, it takes careful planning to avoid losing whatever you've typed if you're writing a post and try to send it when Cloudflare's incessant need to re-verifiy occurs.

Talk about random ... today The Checker isn't popping up at all @ my laptop browser (Brave).

Usually access using Firefox in Linux this morning getting some mysterious security error statement telling me to go back and reload but repeats same loop.

Ending up trying Chromium can access site using it.

I've noticed that since the last ad blitz (EDIT) got remediated, if you let a page get "stale" and then try to post to it, it won't accept the post until you reload the page and then it does a cloudflare "humanity check", but usually is the automated version that does not require you to check the box.

Same here. It isn't working at all. Shows me being logged in in one place and not logged in in another place. Messages may or may not work. Something is really wrong here. A shame really. Last night it was pretty much unusable and I had no idea what to do.

I am using Vivaldi, which is built on Chromium and am having mixed results now. Some things work and some do not. For example I am currently logged in, but when I go to the home page it does not show that. What is going on? It is bizarre to say the least.Screenshot at 2026-03-24 06-47-32.png

Read your DMs and alerted a couple of Admins that will investigate the issue and get back to you.

So it appears that those of us who stick with AK are going to routinely experience ups and downs in accessibility. I don't get too bent out of shape about that - but I do get curious about what changes. Is there any way to query Cloudflare, or another entity, to see what external factors might be the cause of AK hiccups?

I browsed a bit, but I can't see Cloudfare itself as being a credible source of such information.

Hmm, I suppose I should just ask AI. Not sure how credible that would be, either.

Update...

I just added the CacheBuster extension to Vivaldi and it works. If there is an issue I just click on it and problem solved. It does it by requesting a new version of the page from the server, instead of a cached version. Works wonders...

I must be living in a cave. Y'all have mentioned browsers in this thread, and maybe some other threads on AK issues, that I've never heard of before.

Just Googled "web browsers" and this list came up (screen captures to avoid the embedded links):

I must be a "power user" since I use Vivaldi. LOL. All I know is that I can set it up however I like. It's easy to get to settings and it just works. Also it can use Chrome extensions.

In the past I have also used Opera and Pale Moon. But I've landed on Vivaldi.

And that ^ is what makes it difficult for someone to tweak forum software. Couple that with the number of operating systems out there and it creates a large number of combinations.
