KEF iQ9's or Wharfedale Diamond 9.6's? I want your 2¢.

I am trying to decide between these two fullrange floorstanders to use with my main rig (Marantz 2330b). They will be replacing a pair of Rectilinear XI's. They both look really good but I haven't heard either of them and would appreciate your input. I know you all probably have alterative choices but which of these two would you get if you had to chose between them?

When I upgraded, I had the same problem, which one? I auditioned both and due to having a friend at an authorized dealer, I went with the KEF. The both love power, the more the better. Construction wise, they are equal.

I also have the Diamond 8.3. The Diamonds give a nice warm, dark sound. I haven't been able to listen to the KEF's yet because I have had them only a couple weeks and being in a HT setting, the kids rule the roost with their videos.

Both are powered by 120 watt amps.

Thanks, I am pretty sure that my amp can drive them well enough, the KEF's are looking good to me today. I guess I wish one of them just suckd to make this decision easier.

I have a pair of wharfedale 9.6's and I love them. I listen to them usually at lower levels and they are very detailed, definately full range. I just bought a pair of vandersteen 2ci and theres a big contrast in the two type of speakers. The wharfedale's are more precise and the tweeter sounds just a little better imho. The vanderseens are more lively but have great full range sound as well. When I listening to classical I like the wharfedales, rock I like the vandersteens. They both are great speakers IMHO.
