Hello everyone! I want to star tout by apologizing, my phone is out of service for the next few dyas so i wont have any pictures to help explain my issue.
So I recently got a Magnavox Imperial Astro-Sonic console which performs great in almost every aspect right off the start. On first power up prior to any cleaning or work it produced great sound of the right channel but almost nothing out of left. I noticed the volume stayed loud and strong on the right channel throughout adjust the balance knob up until i reached about 90% left, then right cut out almost all together and the left became audible. I can go full left on balance and turn up the volume and the speaker produces good clear audio, just has to be turned up higher then normal. I believe the speaker and connections are good, i assume it is the balance rheostat but i cannot remove it to see about replacing it. I have cleaned any contacts going to it and tried to clean it best as possible but cant force any change in left channel speaker volume.
Does anyone know a trick to replacing the rheostat or adjusting it? Or something else i could be totally overlooking.
