Marantz NR1501 no sound, but video ok

I have a Marantz NR1501 and all of a sudden I don't get any sound coming out of this receiver. I've tried a factory reset and still nothing. Video works through the receiver.

I tried a simple test by connecting one speaker to one of speaker jacks in the back and setting it to "tuner" and I get nothing. The receiver is not set to "Mute" and all the display looks to function correctly.

If someone has any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Forgot one thing. I don't have any headphones connected to it. And there is no sound coming from headphones either.

NO Sound on Marantz NR-1501

All of these units have bad HDMI boards.. This is the same board that processes audio.. some units work if they are connected with analog cables and set to direct mode. most times they completely fail and have no audio..

Contact Marantz for a service dealer for repair.. it's 260$ just for the HDMI/ DSP board..
