McShane Citation II Rebuild Kit Level 2 upgrade question- V1/V4 decoupling caps?

Hello,

Wrapping up a Citation II rebuild for a customer. They purchased the McShane Level 2 kit, but had no instructions. No problem, easy to figure out. Except for one part of the upgrade-

".1uf/630 volt polypropylene film caps for local (on the terminal board) V1/V4 decoupling."

Decoupling what?

I emailed Jim twice and got no response.

If anyone could shed light on what needs decoupling at the inputs, please let me know. It's not obvious from the schematic if any decoupling is even needed in the front end.

Regards, Kent

They are bypass caps *for* the decoupling caps of the first stage, so they go in parallel with C2A and C2B. All amps use decoupling at the input stage and the Citation is no different.
