Future head-banger, treat the disease not the symptoms, get him a PL400 or similiar, it will be cheaper in the long run. (LOL?)So what's a 7 year old's playlist look like ? I wonder if Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Octopus's Garden would be fun for a kid these days?
My grandson took all my Ventures albums....he loves the guitar!!!So what's a 7 year old's playlist look like ? I wonder if Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Octopus's Garden would be fun for a kid these days?
When I was around 8 we had a 15 or 20w integrated from RS with a Garrard TT and a couple full range single driver speakers (quite solid actually) in the rec room.
We had a nicer system in the living room, but in the rec room the only record I recall having was Abbey Road and must have played that 1000 times.
Oh the system I built him is a Rat Shack special....with a full auto TT. He wears it out. He is the only one with any interest....so he may inherit my collection...Adcom, pretty "high cotton" for a youngster...but if he's listening to The Ventures he's OK in my bookGet him some stuff by The Shadows, that UK band was kind of what The Ventures emulated...Apache was great!

somebody's pocket gonna be hurting, doh.We got his new system hooked up and he loves it. For a 7 year old, his play list ranges from K-pop to Led Zeppelin to Blind William McTell. Its crazy. I have to laugh though: when I was setting it all up, he picked up one of the speakers and said “these are kind of small”.
I think he has the bug
