My crazy orange cat damaged my living room subwoofer

I always heard that spray bottles could be useful for cat training. But then you have to be there to watch the cat. Maybe an electric cage around the equipment would work. Like an audio electric fence for cats. LOL.
I have even thought about getting a cat at one point or another but then I think about the issue of a cat wanting to scratch those speakers up. I guess they need to be trained on a scratching post.
Yeah, I do like cats but I guess I would rather just visit them most of the time. Unless I ever live in a big house and can give an entire room to the cat.

From a cat keeper (me) of almost 30 years, I would not do this. I had one cat declawed decades ago, I now understand it is like pulling fingernails out of a human. My cat was sent home with me, bandages on the front paws. It began tearing at the bandages, got them all off and left a room a bloody mess, blood on the walls and floor, counter top, all over.
I agree. Just getting the claws trimmed properly is the best way to keep things under control. After that it's becoming a cat shrink. Think like the cat...

It is actually the equivalent of having the tops of your fingers removed at the first joint.
All Mammals playfight. It strengthens bonds between individuals. They show you their strength. You show them your strength. No one gets hurt. Both have fun. Respect for both the strength and the loving exchange(ie you didn't hurt me) are garnered. The more advanced the mammal the more it enjoys playing and respects its respectful playmate.
Looks pretty solid, sir. I'd scissor cut a small oval out of a coffee filter, gently brush, full strength, a nice layer of aleenes on BOTH sides. Once in place over that hole at the 5 o'clock position in the picture, then gently brush a tiny bit more Aleene's over the repair. Maybe let the first layer dry.
It should hold just fine, glad to see you're still trying to fix this. I'd have it done in a day, but then again, I've done this many times before. Best of luck!
10 months or so late, but no, do not water down. Full strength is what we want.

That was a character on the Smothers Borthers Show. They were always trying to push the boundaries. They pretty much got kicked off the air for it as well. LOL.
