New to me 222 - the venerable triple deuce

I looked into your paint last week - bike paint - claims only one coat needed - and must be durable. You must be a cyclist, to know about this product?

This is a black paint I've wanted to try. Close to Vantablack.

Yessir I was thinking about using it when to paint my Surly roadbike.

The Vantablack I was looking into for certain art. But that doesn't look like it has a spray form, and the Q is what kind of adhesion can you get on metal/primer?

I rode a Crosscheck and a Krampus for a while. Great, no-nonsense utilitarian bicycles. It's mostly carbon fiber for me these days.

Nice, mine's a crosscheck. TBH I was initially drawn to it simply because I hate the look of more modern bikes and a level top tube was a must. :D It's my road/gravel/trail bike.

A hardcore dude showed me his carbon build, I want to say the dang thing weighed 8 kg? I was amazed.

Very cool. Yes that bike does it all. And the frame/fork in black has a strikingly badass look not unlike what this murdered out AU-222 you are building will have. Style and soul no space age modern machine could ever even hope to have.

Tone board reflowed and done, minus some 3.3uf Wimas. Waiting for USPS...

Knobs arrived yesterday, I think they'll look good once it's all buttoned up and they stick out a little bit on the pots. Pleasantly surprised to find they are odd-sided.

Idly thinking about matching the yellow in the Sansui logo and filling in the green underneath...

That enamel is actually tan. I need to look, I should still have some Testors model enamel that is a good match, as I had to touch up some of the engraved legends on a couple of my components in the early 70's "professional black" line. I'll post it if if I can find it. That said, I kind of like the turquoise green color used for the model designation. Makes for a nice contrast, IMHO.

Hmm trying to picture all of the engravings in that same tan color now... I like monochrome...

Every time I clean a board with IPA I regret it. White residue everywhere, no amount of rinsing getting it off... And I'm too afraid of washing with water with all these components on, especially the trimmers and outputs.

Also broke a tiny trace but that is an easy fix.

Guys is c821 really 100uf? Anyone recall any errors in the manual? I took out all my parts at once and now I'm confused. It appears small..

Edit: never mind, it just looks that way because it's the only cap that didn't have either the capacitance or voltage increased...
