New Tube Preamp - China - 12AX7

The one thing that would stop me from buying that preamp right off the bat is that there isn't an inout selector. It has one input only. If you have more than one source you would need to get a selector box and added sets of RCA cables.
I ran an FX Audio Tube-03 to the Pre-in/Main-out loop to get it's color on all of the inputs. Other than that, a switch box would be needed.

If you have as much as I do connected up, it's a pain having to use selector boxes. The last of the parts arrived so I can repair my main preamp. It has 5 inputs and two sets of pre-out jacks. I still had to use a couple splitter cables, and use my tape in as a line stage input. At the moment I'm using a preamp I built that only has a three input selector. So I had to add a selector box to get two more inputs, that got me 2 more inputs, so I had to add one more small two input box so I would have 5 total. I had to write up how everything is connected on a 3x5 card.

I have to finish testing my main system preamp tomorrow.
I got the new parts installed, but didn't have time to test all my voltages.
Below is the mess I'm dealing with right now.

Well since I bought the second preamp....Conrad Johnson knock-off or whatever it is they call it.....I've pretty much been using them exclusively in both of my systems. It's like they just get better the more they get used.

They work great with any amp I pair them with. Especially if the amp has an input attenuator. Cuts down on the noise. Thinking about picking up a third one....

Doubtful, although there are a variety of other China made, tube preamps out there. No clue as to which one's are good though. :dunno:
Yeah I've read that as well. I'll have to do some digging because like you, I don't know which ones either.

I'm optimistic though. Sitting here listening to the Zero Zone in front of a Fosi V3 for less than $500.00 and the sound quality is great.
