Pioneer CS-801 speakers - any info?

I am picking up a pair of Pioneer CS-801 speakers next week and am trying to get some information about them.

I have searched this site and done a Yahoo search and cannot find anything very useful. Does anyone have experience with these speakers? How about suggestions where else I might look for information? This is my first time trying vintage gear, so I don't have any experience. They just looked pretty cool and I am hoping they will sound interesting with the horn mids and tweeters. I am hoping they will sound good with a 300B amp.

That pair does look nice. Pioneer's of that era were fairly efficient, and I've read that their horns were decent. I think they should sound pretty good with  tubes ;)

I'll be interested in how they mesh together.

Never even heard of this model until yesterday when I found a pair in a pawn shop. Nice looking. Bit pricey for a Pioneer though. Sorry I've not heard them so I can't comment. I await your review. If it is favorable maybe I'll look further into them.

I had a pair once. They were good but nothing special. They are really well made though with nice solid cabinets.
