Bad designs are often found in absolutes. Adjustments or the ability to adjust makes for a better design. If it were my arm, the holes would be replaced with slots. Why design in absolutes when you seem to still have so many questions.

Like I said above, that will come in later versions, when I attempt to bring the stylus inline with the pivot (vertically) w/o disrupting the center of gravity too much.
In the meantime, cartridges with 9.5mm (3/8") stylus to holes are everywhere, it is by far the most common measurement.
You guys need to keep in mind I still need to make my first iteration of my table itself. Lots of work to do, I can't get bogged down in any single detail now, not unless I know it is going to stop me from moving forward.
Edit to add: Don't take the fact that I'm not changing my design NOW as disregarding what you're telling me, I'm just prioritizing. I'll come back to it. You'll know when I do from all the questions I ask (insert diabolical laughter here).
