Sansui FR-D3 to replace Pioneer PL-12D?

Would a Sansui FR-D3 be a worthwhile upgrade from my PL-12D? I've been on the lookout for a new turntable for a while now, my PL-12 is nice but I've started to notice how noisy it is during quiet passages in songs. The Sansui is direct drive with pitch adjustment and much quieter motor, I'm just concerned that the arm won't be as good as the PL-12's. The Sansui also has auto return which is a handy feature to me.

Pure conjecture on my part, but I doubt the Sansui arm and original
headshell will be worse, I suspect they will be somewhat better.

Well I suppose I can just buy and if I don't like sell it again or if I do keep it and make my money back selling the PL-12D. I do love the simplistic looks of that Sansui.
